FedCon 32 | Vortrag | Alien-Invasionen in Film & TV

Thorsten Walch looks back on over 70 years of extraterrestrial invasions in cinema and television.

What has fortunately not yet taken place in reality has long been happening on the big screen and in panto cinema. Starting with pioneering films for the science fiction genre such as “The Thing “, “The Day the Earth Stood Still”, “Invaders from Mars” and “The War of the Worlds” from the 1950s, through TV series such as “Twilight Zone”, “The Outer Limits”, “The Invaders” and Gerry Anderson’s “UFO” in the 1960s, to later TV and film classics such as “V” in the 80s and “Independence Day” in the 90s: the most famous alien conquests on the big and small screen are to be presented. Of course, this will also include the most famous film and TV aliens – if you have actually seen them …

Lecturer: Thorsten Walch
