FedCon 28 |Specials | Diagnosis: Nerd | Steve Dix

Steve Dix went for years without realising he was a nerd. Join him in an hour-long comedy show where he speaks about discovering you are a nerd, nerd pronouns, signs and symptoms that you may experience if you are a nerd, advanced treatments, and what it was like to live in pre-nerd society before the internet existed.

Join him in the hour-long performance Diagnosis: Nerd to discover why handing round M&Ms at an OCD meeting is a bad idea, why Captain Kirk gets fatter every time he beams down, why the Corona pandemic makes “The Living Dead” look silly, and why the world has already ended, but we haven’t got round to telling everyone.

Lecturer: Steve Dix
Duration: 60 min  -  The Lecture will be held in: english
Steve Dix is a semi-pro english comedian, and has been performing stand-up comedy and improv for over 15 years. In the 90's, he was a starving musician (he's made up for it since).

His love of science fiction began at an early age after watching the moon landings, and blossomed with his discovery of Doctor Who, Gerry Anderson and the very first showing of Star Trek on british TV. He moved to Germany in 1999 to work as a web programmer for silly money in 1999. Alas, the money got more serious over time. He applied and obtained German citizenship due to Brexit in 2018, but prefers doing comedy in english as it sounds funnier. He also paints and plays various musical instruments, although not at the same time.
