My name is
David Jaurequi. I am a passionate Scifi fan since childhood, especially of
Babylon 5 and all
Star Trek series.
I've always been interested in how special effects are made, even back then. That's why over the years I've been working a lot with Lightwave 3D to be able to understand the whole thing better. Over the years I've made contacts with people who worked on the special effects of my favorite shows and got so many answers to my questions.
Since about one year I work at b5books in 3D rendering and animation. And if there is still time left I help out with "Trekyards" (Youtube channel) every now and then.
My name is
Samuel Cockings, film maker, You Tube personality, costumer and huge Sci fi Fan. I co-host the popular
Star Trek webseries “Trekyards”, a show which looks at the ships and tech of Trek with the real designers from almost ever iteration of Trek. Going on 4 years now we have worked with and interviewed over 3 dozen Trek alumni and produced over 1000 videos, 350 episodes and many conventions worth of bonus interview/panel content.
I am also a film maker and fan film creator. I am the director of the No*1 watched
Stargate fan film on You Tube and have created 2
Star Trek fan films of my own in 2013 and now in 2018. I also worked on visual effects for 9 more Trek fan productions along with designing original ships for 3.
I am also an archivist in original film/TV 3D assets and have in-depth behind the scenes knowledge on the visual effects for shows such as
Star Trek: Voyager,
Star Trek: Enterprise,
Stargate Atlantis,
Battlestar Galactica and
Babylon 5.
I also have a large and highly detailed Sci Fi costume collection with detailed replicas of such iconic costumes as John Creightons
Farscape outfit, 8th Doctor Paul Mcgann “Night of the Doctor” outfit, several
Stargate costumes and more.
My passions encompasses all of Sci Fi and having gone to conventions for over 12 years now I have met hundreds of Sci Fi actors and legends and experienced the best of fandom.
