FedCon 32 | Specials | Film-Preview: All Tomorrow's Yesterdays

“The next ten minutes of your life could have… unforeseen consequences.”

Barry is working on an idea for a time machine, when he receives a series of unusual visitors, all with very good reasons for him not to build his invention….

Over a year in the making, Steve Dix’s short film was first announced at MagiCon 2022, with writer/director Steve Dix acting out the pitch for the film for Deagol actor and filmmaker Thomas Robins.  The film was quickly financed by fans via a Gofundme project, which raised 4000,- Euro. The film script also attracted interest from professional filmmakers, and has been made with professional actors and film equipment. FedCon presents a special preview of the film by Director / producer / writer Steve Dix, which will be followed with a discussion on how the film was made, and the announcement of Steve’s next project, “The Mean Streets of Moon City”.

Lecturer: Steve Dix
Duration: 60 min  -  The Lecture will be held in: english

Steve Dix comes from a small town, Rugeley, in Staffordshire, which, coincidentally, was also called home by someone named J. R. R. Tolkien during the first World War.

Steve is a lifelong science-fiction fan, and, inspired by Gerry Anderson's "Space:1999", made his first small films with a borrowed super-8 camera at the age of 14.  He was thwarted in his ambitions to go into the film industry by a career master who told him that "kids from Rugeley don't end up in films".  Teachers from the same school also told him he was too bad at languages to ever learn German.  He is a naturalised German citizen, and has appeared in several German Films and TV shows - "Dresden", "The Hindenburg" and "SoKo Köln", as well as writing for Knacki Deuser's comedy website. He has performed stand-up comedy in english and german across Europe.

Just goes to show how wrong some people can be., doesn't it?.
