17. February 2023You like to write and wish to make more out of your creative streak? Have you taken your first steps into journalism or as an author and are wondering how you can continue from this point? Then you’ve come to the right place.
Björn Sülter has worked on his dream in various areas over the years; and has definitely taken his own paths. As a journalist, he has worked on school newspapers, forums, online reviews and small columns, as well as his first jobs in online editorial departments, and finally as an editor of print magazines. Today he is editor-in-chief of Geek! and TV-Klassiker as well as of the portal “Planet Trek” and columnist of TV Serienhighlights. As an author from his first short stories in his school days to his secondary work Es lebe Star Trek – Ein Phänomen, zwei Leben, which was awarded the “Deutscher Phantastik Preis” (German Fantasy Prize), he has written other non-fiction, novellas and books for young people. From office to publishing director and finally publisher with his own publishing house. From hobby speaker to audio book speaker for licensed audio books from various publishers.
In his small workshop, Björn Sülter will provide tips and tricks on what he believes is indispensable for becoming a professional writer and will also be happy to answer any questions.

As an author he is known for the secondary work Es lebe Star Trek - Ein Phänomen, zwei Leben, the series Die Star Trek-Chronik as well as the SF trilogy Beyond Berlin. He also writes biographies and novels for young people.
As editor-in-chief, he oversees the print magazines Geek! & TV-Klassiker as well as the portal "Planet Trek", was editor-in-chief of "SYFY.de" & the Phantastika Magazin (formerly Corona Magazine) for many years until the site was discontinued & writes regularly for print as well as online and media magazines. In TV Serienhighlights he presents his Trek column "Sülters Warpkernkette" in every issue.
He translates (e.g. the series Das Illustrierte Handbuch, Star Trek Cocktails, Die Gegner in Star Trek & the novel series TNG: Zeit des Wandels speaks audio books (TNG: Q sind herzlich ausgeladen, DS9: Ein Stich zur rechten Zeit), presents his own podcast with "Planet Trek fm" & moderates at events.
