1. February 2020“Star Trek. The final frontier. These are the adventures of the fans who are on the road to explore original locations and create new photos. They’re going into locations that film crews have seen before.”
The lecture Star Trek: The Filming Sites II by Robert Kaiser at FedCon 33 presents another series of locations where episodes of several Star Trek series as well as scenes from the films were shot and compares shots from the well-known productions with current photos from these locations. Although these are an extension to the first lecture – which was shown at FedCon 28 and is scheduled in English this year – this lecture is independent and not based on the first part (only overlaps are avoided). In the course of a GeekNation tour with Larry Nemecek as well as on private trips, Robert Kaiser has tried to capture the excerpts used in Star Trek as much as possible or at least to make it clearly visible where and how they were shot.
Thus he can offer a range from once-only to frequently used locations, and with a dash of humor he can create an entertaining impression of these locations – and maybe a look into another universe is dared…
