Star Trek: Strange New Worlds , Episode 2×9: “Subspace Rhapsody”. This name says it all. Music has always played a major role in the Star Trek universe and has many different levels of meaning. But there has never been a musical episode – until now. So what could be more fitting than to do the same as the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise and sing together.
This little musical get together is not about pretension or perfection, but about fun! Making music together live and singing “We are one” from the very first Star Trek musical episode ever together and also staging the song a little for us.
You don’t have to be able to read music or have any singing experience. Beginners are also VERY welcome! After a little warm-up together, we’ll gather round the piano and off we go! For all those interested, there will of course be one or two musical, performance and vocal suggestions. But above all: Let’s sing Star Trek!

Musik spielte im Star Trek-Universum schon immer eine große Rolle und hat dort viele verschiedene Bedeutungsebenen. Aber eine Musicalfolge- das gabs noch nie – bis jetzt. Was wäre da also passender als es der Crew der U.S.S. Enterprise gleich zu tun und zusammen zu singen.
Bei diesem kleinen musikalischen get together geht es nicht um Anspruch oder Perfektion, sondern um Spaß! Gemeinsam live miteinander Musik zu machen und „We are one“ aus der allerersten Star Trek-Musicalfolge ever gemeinsam zu singen und das Lied auch ein bisschen für uns zu inszenieren.
Ihr müsst dafür weder Notenlesen können noch Gesangserfahrung haben. Auch Anfänger sind SEHR willkommen! Nach einem kleinen gemeinsamen Warm Up versammeln wir uns ums Klavier und los geht’s! Für alle Interessierten gibt es natürlich die eine oder andere musikalische, performative und auch gesangstechnische Anregung. Aber vor allem geht es darum: Let‘s sing Star Trek!

The classical soprano and singing teacher Tiffany Gauger has been performing on stage since the age of 5. She gained a wealth of stage experience in the areas of musicals/shows and studio work. Since completing her vocal studies at the HfM Mainz, she has been working as a freelance opera singer. Previous engagements have taken her to the Stadttheater Gießen, Stadttheater Trier, Staatstheater Darmstadt and Staatstheater Wiesbaden, as well as to the international Wiesbaden May Festival.
In addition to her work at the theatre, she can be heard in numerous shows and solo programmes. Her repertoire includes opera, operetta, chanson and musicals.
She has also been a successful singing teacher for several years. From 2018 to 2021, for example, she held a teaching position for singing at the Musical Arts Academy Mainz, whose singing department she headed from 2020-2021. She has been running her own singing school "StimmDich Speyer" since 2022.
She not only performs on stage at FedCon, but also gives regular talks on musically nerdy topics.
