Babs Olusanmokun

Directly from the hit series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Babs Olusanmokun will be beaming into FedCon 34, where the actor will bring the role of Dr. M’Benga to charismatic life.

Before the two-time gold medallist (at the Pam American Games in the sport of Jiu Jitsu) set off into the vastness of the Star Trek galaxy, Olusanmokun gained acting experience on the theatre stage and through guest appearances in numerous US series such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Criminal Intent, The Blacklist, Gotham and Sneaky Pete.

His fame finally increased significantly with the roles of Omoro Kinte in the mini-series Roots (2016) and as Sowande in the Netflix series Marvel’s The Defenders. Babs Olusanmokun also regularly appears in film productions, including, for example, as Jamis in the two-part Dune film adaptation (2021 and 2024).
