Communicator Award (CAST) – Award ceremony

It is our pleasure to announce that the innovative Communicator Award (CAST) – created by Star Trek enthusiast Dr. phil. Harald Zaun – will be presented for the first time at FedCon 32.

The festive award ceremony will take place during FedCon on Friday, May 10, 2024, between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. in the Beethoven Hall at the Maritim Hotel Bonn.

The event will be hosted by experienced Trekkie and event manager Gerhard Raible. In addition to the prize money, the winners will receive self-designed trophies, a certificate and a signed book gift from the founder.

The CAST award winners are selected by a carefully selected jury. This consists of three members of the fandom scene and three experts who themselves have a deep affinity with Star Trek. The five prizes are endowed with €2,500 each and are awarded in the following categories:

1. Journalists and publishers
2. Authors and writers
3. Speakers and lecturers
4. Podcasters, YouTubers and influencers (online)
5. Cosplayers and fan film creatives

All interested terrestrial and extraterrestrial life forms are cordially invited to attend the event to honor the winners of the first Communicator Awards and to celebrate the universe created by Star Trek.
