For seven seasons, he portrayed the holographic physician initially known simply as &#8220;the Doctor&#8221; on <em>Star Trek: Voyager<\/em>. Originally programmed as an Emergency Medical Hologram, the EMH evolved into one of the series\u2019 most multifaceted and beloved characters &#8211; complete with a growing personality, artistic ambitions, and a wonderfully dry sense of humor.<\/p>\n<p local-id=\"57001dc05e32\"><strong>Robert Picardo<\/strong> also left his mark elsewhere in the <em>Star Trek<\/em> universe. He played the EMH in <em>Star Trek: First Contact<\/em>, appeared on <em>Star Trek: Deep Space Nine<\/em> as his creator, Dr. Lewis Zimmerman, and directed two episodes of <em>Star Trek: Voyager<\/em>. Decades later, he finally returned in <em>Star Trek: Prodigy<\/em> as the voice of the Doctor.<\/p>\n<p local-id=\"5d2a982eceab\">Science-fiction fans also know <strong>Robert Picardo<\/strong> well from the <em>Stargate<\/em> universe. As Richard Woolsey, he appeared in <em>Stargate SG-1<\/em>, <em>Stargate Atlantis<\/em>, and <em>Stargate Universe<\/em>. His other ventures into the fantastic genre include <em>The Howling<\/em>, <em>Innerspace<\/em>, <em>Gremlins 2: The New Batch<\/em>, <em>Smallville<\/em>, and <em>The Orville<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p local-id=\"c6f80295a393\">With <strong>Robert Picardo<\/strong>, we are delighted to welcome a true science-fiction veteran to <em><strong><em><strong>FedCon 35<\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/em>.
