The Canadian actress gained international attention primarily through her role as Ezri Dax in the final series of <em>Star Trek: Deep Space Nine<\/em>. As the successor to the much-loved Jadzia Dax, she took on no easy task, but quickly won over many fans with her fresh and sensitive portrayal.<\/p>\n<p local-id=\"a51750a42b27\">Even before her foray into the <em>Star Trek<\/em> universe, <strong>Nicole de Boer<\/strong> had appeared in numerous film and television productions. She subsequently secured a firm place in the world of science fiction with the lead role of Sarah Bannerman in <em>The Dead Zone<\/em>, where she starred alongside Anthony Michael Hall for several series. This was followed by further successful appearances in television series, including <em>Stargate Atlantis<\/em>, <em>The Outer Limits<\/em>, <em>Haven<\/em> and as Dr Alison Porter in <em>Private Eyes<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p local-id=\"1698492fbbee\">Even today, <strong>Nicole de Boer<\/strong> is still regularly in front of the camera and a welcome guest at conventions worldwide.
