Tawny Newsome is the latest addition to the Star Trek guest lineup at FedCon 33. The versatile actress, singer and comedian is best known for her role as Ensign Beckett Mariner in the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks. Her portrayal of the rebellious and humorous Mariner quickly made her a fan favorite among Trekkies. In the second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (episode 7), Tawny herself can be seen in this role.
The American has been part of the Star Trek universe since 2020 and brings a breath of fresh air to the franchise with her witty and charismatic manner.
In addition to Star Trek, she is also known for appearances in comedy series such as Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ and Space Force. She not only shows her skills in front of the camera, but also as a podcast host and musician. With her talent for combining comedy and drama, Tawny Newsome inspires on many levels and is a popular guest at conventions.
