FedCon 34 | Paul Wesley

For many science fiction fans, Paul Wesley is now firmly associated with one of the most famous names in the Star Trek universe: in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, he plays the young James T. Kirk. He has big shoes to fill, as the character was previously portrayed by William Shatner and Chris Pine. Wesley brings his own interpretation of the future Enterprise captain to the screen – curious, ambitious, and with the thirst for adventure that will one day make Kirk a Starfleet legend.
Long before his foray into the Star Trek universe, Paul Wesley had already established himself in the world of television series. He achieved his international breakthrough in 2009 with the role of Stefan Salvatore in the hit series The Vampire Diaries. For eight seasons, he played the complex vampire with great intensity, turning the character into a cult role for fantasy fans. Prior to that, he had already appeared in series such as Everwood, Smallville, and Guiding Light, gaining extensive television experience early on.
In addition to acting, Wesley is also active as a director and has directed episodes of The Vampire Diaries, among others. With his mix of genre experience, cult roles, and palpable enthusiasm for interacting with fans, he is one of the guests that many visitors to FedCon 34 can look forward to seeing.
