Scottish actor Martin Quinn has been playing the role of Lieutenant Montgomery “Scotty” Scott in the series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds since 2024. He is the first Scot to play this iconic character, and thus brings a special authenticity to the role.

Before his engagement in the Star Trek universe, Quinn could be seen in various TV productions. In the series Derry Girls, he played the role of Wee Cousin Rob. He also appeared in Annika as Syd and in The Lovers as Jason. He also took on a role in the film Our Ladies as Stephen.

In addition to his acting career, Martin Quinn also works as a voice actor. He provided the voice for characters in the video game Diablo IV.

With his involvement in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Quinn has taken a significant step in his career, thrilling fans worldwide with his portrayal of the legendary chief engineer of the USS Enterprise.
