Jess Bush-born in Brisbane, Australia-is an actress, artist, and has been firmly established in the Star Trek universe for some time now. In Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, she plays the legendary sister Christine Chapel, whom she reinterprets with a successful blend of wit, empathy, and modern strength. In doing so, she has not only won the respect of old fans, but also inspired a new generation to embrace the classic character.

Before Jess came aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise, she appeared in Australian series such as Home and Away and Playing for Keeps – and even competed in Australia’s Next Top Model at the very beginning of her career. But her artistic talent extends far beyond acting: as a visual artist, she incorporates real bees in resin in her series Bee Totem – an unusual project that combines sustainability and aesthetics.
