Jamie Bamber

British actor Jamie Bamber is best known to science fiction fans for his role as Lee “Apollo” Adama in the acclaimed series Battlestar Galactica. In this reimagining of the cult series, he embodied the brave and morally stable Viper pilot, torn between duty and personal responsibility. His portrayal was appreciated by critics and fans alike and contributed significantly to the success of the series.

But Bamber is not only at home in the world of science fiction. Even before Battlestar Galactica, he played the role of 2nd Lieutenant Jack Foley in the HBO mini-series Band of Brothers. He was also seen as Lieutenant Archie Kennedy in the British historical series Hornblower, based on the novels by C.S. Forester.
