Eugene Cordero is an actor who effortlessly moves through the greatest fictional universes! As Ensign Sam Rutherford in Star Trek: Lower Decks, he delights with charm, humor and cybernetic implants. His role as the lovably nerdy engineer makes him a fan favorite – and the perfect addition to the chaotic lower-deck team of the USS Cerritos.
But that’s not all! Cordero has long since immortalized himself in other legendary franchises. In the Marvel series Loki, he plays TVA control desk officer Casey, providing some of the funniest moments in the series – including his iconic reaction to Infinity Stones as “office clutter”. He appeared as a soldier in the New Republic in The Mandalorian, and in Kong: Skull Island he even faced a real-life giant ape.
In addition to his sci-fi and fantasy roles, Cordero has appeared in numerous comedy series such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Good Place. With his background as an improv comedian (UCB Theater), he brings a unique blend of wit and authenticity to the screen.
