Bella Shepard

Bella Shepard is an actress who can best be described as a fresh face with considerable future potential. Many already know her from series such as The Wilds and Wolf Pack, but for science fiction fans, her name will be associated above all with a very special universe: Star Trek. In the new series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (premiering January 15, 2026, on Paramount+), she joins the cast of the new generation of Starfleet cadets and plays Genesis Lythe, a young woman who must prove herself at the legendary academy-amid high expectations, new friendships, and the typical challenges of life in the 32nd century.

Bella brings just the right mix of down-to-earthness, emotion, and energy to make this new Star Trek character believable and relatable. Her role symbolizes the series’ new beginning: Star Trek once again tells the story of growing up, finding one’s place in the world, and what it means to be part of the Federation – only now with a fresh perspective and modern characters.
