MagicCon 4 + FedCon 29 stay on course as planned!

Regarding the realization of our events MagicCon 4 (10/15 – 10/17/2021) and FedCon 29 (10/22 – 10/24/2021) at the Maritim Hotel Bonn, we have now personally talked to the responsible office of the city of Bonn. With pleasure we may announce as a result:

• The new rules around the Corona Pandemic suit us perfectly and make it possible that both events can take place on the planned dates in October!

Since there are currently hardly any differences between the “2G” and the “3G” rules, MagicCon 4 and FedCon 29 will be held according to the “3G” rules.

Therefore, one of the following three proofs must be provided at check-in:

• Proof of full vaccination protection (according to valid definition).
• Confirmation of recovery from Covid-19 (according to valid definition)
• Negative test (not older than 48 hours).

The proof of the negative test must come from a recognized testing center. There are several testing stations in the vicinity of the Maritim Hotel Bonn (among others in the Rheinauen and at the Agip gas station). It must be taken into account that further tests may be required during the event due to the 48-hour rule, depending on the length of the con visit.

The mask obligation prevails everywhere where queues form. So, for example, at check-in, autograph sessions, photo sessions, etc.

When you are seated in your assigned seat in the main hall, the mask can be removed. The photo sessions with the stars can take place without a mask. We have purchased air filtration devices with Hepa filters in the photo shoot room, the room where the photos are picked up, and the anteroom. However, we ask that you refrain from hugging or kissing the star.

Disinfection dispensers are available in the event area and there is a wayfinding system. At the moment, “Party Light” is also possible in the outdoor areas of the hotel and in the Beethoven Hall. Here, masks can be removed at the bar tables, or the rule says that you only have to put on the mask if the required minimum distance cannot be maintained.

Despite these wonderful positive developments, it must be taken into account that the rules may change even further until the event. Of course, we will keep you up to date on this in a timely manner. For organizational reasons, we ask you to refrain from individual detailed inquiries in advance.
