FedCon 31 | Vortrag (Lesung) | Ein Wispern von den Sternen | Robert Corvus

Robert Corvus is one of Germany’s most active science fiction authors.

He is a member of the Perry Rhodan team, has contributed four novels to the BattleTech military SF franchise, and publishes his novels with Piper.

They are about a planet living in eternal night; about a fleet of starships carrying the last free humans through the void between the stars; about a widower who wants to build a bridge to the star that cost his great love his life. His short stories deal with artificial intelligence creating art, a future Cologne and a hermetically sealed Europe.

How does a science fiction writer live in the land of poets and thinkers? With this reading, Robert presents highlights from his work and discusses his experiences with the audience.

Lecturer: Robert Corvus
Duration: 60 min  -  The Lecture will be held in: german

Robert Corvus stumbled upon Dune as a teenager - and hasn't escaped the desert planet since. He translated the 2022 Dune role-playing game "Adventures in the Imperium", which gave him new insights into his favorite franchise.

Robert writes for the world's greatest science fiction series, Perry Rhodan. Under his pseudonym Bernard Craw, he has contributed novels to the BattleTech franchise. As a result, he has made a name for himself in Military SF. Another area of focus is space opera. His titles are also published by Piper: Feuer der Leere, Das Imago-Projekt, or Sternenbrücke, which mixes space opera with cyberpunk. Robert is also active in fantasy. He enjoys attending national and international conventions, both as a fan and as a presenter. As a training instructor, he holds short workshops and weekly seminars, and has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Münster.

Corvus was born in 1972 and lives in Cologne. When he's not busy with literature, he can often be found at the movies or in the dance hall.
