FedCon 28 | Vortrag | Star Trek: The Filming Sites

Star Trek. Infinite vastness. These are the adventures of the fans who are on their way to explore original locations and create new photos. They advance to locations previously seen by film crews.”

The lecture Star Trek: The Filming Sites by Robert Kaiser at FedCon 28 presents a series of locations where episodes of several Star Trek series as well as scenes from the films were filmed and compares footage from the well-known productions with current photos from these locations. Both during a GeekNation tour with Larry Nemecek and on private journeys, Robert tried to capture the excerpts used in Star Trek or at least to make it clear where and how they were shot. Thus he can come up with a mixture of only once up to frequently used locations and with a dash of humor create an entertaining impression of these locations.

Lecturer: Robert Kaiser
Duration: 45 min  -  The Lecture will be held in: german
Robert Kaiser (nickname "KaiRo") is an IT freelancer and Mozilla Tech Speaker and loves to deal with the latest developments in the software area in these functions.

His love for Star Trek takes him even further into the future. At the end of the 90s science and technology aroused his interest in these stories, but the underlying philosophy of inclusion and "IDIC" (Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations) as well as the positive view of the future strengthened his affection for these productions and never let him go. Robert lives in Vienna, is a member of the Austrian fan club "Galactic Friendship", and enjoys travelling to the USA - especially to the annual conventions in Las Vegas.
